What equipment is needed for box lacrosse?

Players are encouraged to wear full-length arm guards (not elbow pads), gloves, shoulder pads, kidney pads, and bicep pads. Box helmets are not mandatory, however, Gold Rush teams will do a helmet order upon making the roster.

How many players are on a team?

Teams will typically have at least 12 players, plus a goalie, with no more than 18.

What is the difference between Gold Rush and the Miners?

Gold Rush are the elite-level teams that will travel to compete in tournaments and play days. Players will try out and be selected to make the Gold Rush roster. The Miners will serve as the developmental program to learn and continue getting repetition with the box game. Miners will be practicing and playing games locally in the Bay Area.

Where will practices be?

Players on Gold Rush will be from all over the Bay Area. It should be understood and accepted that there will not be a location ideal for everyone. We will try our best to rotate practices to accommodate everyone involved.
